WNIT Public Television will roll out the premier broadcast of a new Legends of Michiana series next week focusing on yours truly — Pat Moody.
The broadcast will air several times in September and October following an in place premier in St. Joseph involving those who were part of the documentary production and contributed to the project as underwriters on several levels. The broadcast is one in a series of documentaries regarding people from Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. Three years ago they produced a program on the life of local industrialist Merlin Hanson. The new Moody profile will join a growing list in the series on local people that the public television station is showcasing as part of their spotlight on local people doing things for the betterment of the community at large.
The broadcast of Pat Moody, the Man, the Mic, the Legend will air first on Thursday, September 26th, and again on two other dates coming up this fall. You can find all of the prior Legends programs on the WNIT website at www.WNIT.org.
The shows have become popular with many people across the region and they are increasingly focused on well known people who have made a difference across the region in their lives, their communities and many other areas across the the the intersection of community and reality.
The broadcast on WNIT Public Television will be only the second profile of a Michigan personality to go along with the Merlin Hanson story over the course of the years. Moody has been in the broadcast realm for 46 years and retired from the air at the end of February, but continues to work on Moody on the Market on a daily basis, pretty much every day of the week. He has been a member of the WNIT Board of Directors for several decades and went on to serve the national board of America’s Public Television Station’s in Washington D.C., and was active for many years as a lobbyist and advocate for public media as well as higher education.
