Benton Harbor-based civil engineering firm Wightman has announced a new hire who will focus on government contracts.
The president of Wightman, Steve Carlisle, announced that Mark McRobie has been appointed as its new Government Market Sector Leader.

As part of the announcement, the Wightman team says the addition of McRobie is a strategic move to strengthen its government sector capabilities and expand its footprint in the public infrastructure market.
According to Wightman’s announcement, McRobie brings more than 16 years of experience in business development and marketing to the firm, particularly in the public sector. His career is marked by a consistent track record of winning large-scale government projects and fostering strong relationships with clients.
In his new role, McRobie will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Wightman’s government sector projects, including strategic planning and business development. He will work closely with the firm’s talented team of engineers, architects, and surveyors to ensure that Wightman’s projects meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

McRobie holds a Master of Business Administration from Charleston Southern University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Seton Hill University. He has been an active member of numerous professional organizations including the Design-Build Institute of America – Michigan Chapter, the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan (ACEC/Michigan), and the American Segmental Bridge Institute. Mark is also a Board Member for the ACE Mentor Program of southeast Michigan. Most recently, Mark served as the Deputy Director of ACEC/Michigan. Prior to that he spent over six years at RS&H in several business development roles.
