Whirlpool Showcases Internship Program, Part of Racial Equality Pledge

Whirlpool Corporation has released details of a college age internship program that appears to be thriving, and is encouraging Berrien County based students to consider involvement:

Whirlpool Corporation is supporting Possibilities at Home (P@TH), a unique internship program for students residing in Berrien County and one of multiple internship programs offered by Whirlpool Corporation. The P@TH program is open to freshmen and sophomores who have completed their first or second year of college. In its third year, the program uniquely includes the benefit of a “buddy program,” which has been designed to provide additional guidance and support during their internship experience.

Of the twelve interns in the 2023 P@TH class, four are returning participants. The 2023 class represents colleges in Michigan and across the country, including Lake Michigan College, Michigan State University, Indiana University, Purdue University, University of Michigan, Western Michigan University, Tennessee State, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and Western Governors University. P@TH is a 10-week internship program and offers students experience in a variety of disciplines within Whirlpool. Students may be considered for future Whirlpool internship programs and post-graduation career opportunities.

The P@TH program is a part of Whirlpool Corp’s Racial Equality Pledge. In mid-2020, Whirlpool Corporation launched a Racial Equality Pledge in recognition of the ongoing need to build a more inclusive and diverse environment within its four walls and within its local communities, with the ultimate goal of improving representation at all levels across Whirlpool.
