Whirlpool Appliance Sale to Benefit United Way Oct. 28-29

One of the most popular United Way fund raising efforts is back for another year.  And it could pave the way for a new Whirlpool appliance in your kitchen.   It’s the Whirlpool Appliance Sale to benefit the United Way.  Brand new appliances with a full warranty, at discounted prices.. with all the proceeds going to United Way.

It’ll be the last weekend of October, as detailed in an announcement from United Way and Whirlpool:

On Saturday, Oct. 28 (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday, Oct. 29 (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), over 350 appliances will be offered to the public at deeply discounted prices at the Benton Harbor Technology Center, 151 Riverview Dr., Benton Harbor.

The sale is open to the public and offers Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid brands, as well as Whirlpool brand ovens, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, and washers and dryers at significant savings. All the major appliances are new, with a full one-year warranty. Gladiator and KitchenAid brand Small Appliances will also be offered at exclusive prices.

“The Whirlpool appliance sale is always highly anticipated by the public because it’s a great opportunity to save a considerable amount on incredible appliances—while at the same time helping our local community. You’ll see average discounts of more than 40 percent, and all proceeds from the sale go to United Way,” said Gokul Nair, Whirlpool Corporation’s global IT director, member of United Way of Southwest Michigan’s board of directors, and long-time leader of the appliance sale. “The best part is that the products are ready and available, so there should be no waiting or delays in getting products.”

All products purchased must be picked up during sale hours. For an additional $100 donation per appliance, home deliveries will be available within a 15-mile radius. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment. No checks will be accepted. There will be no early sales.

For years, the appliance sale has been a significant fundraiser for the Whirlpool Corp. Employee United Way Campaign.
