The Berrien County Drain Commissioner’s Office, in partnership with the City of Watervliet and civil engineering consultant Wightman, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. The event will celebrate the creation of a new rain garden and the successful completion of the South Watervliet Drain project at South School and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
“Join us as we showcase the new drain and rain garden,” states a news release. “We look forward to sharing with you how the team of county and city representatives, contractors, and consultant professionals transformed an existing space with excessive drainage issues into a new area that promotes green infrastructure and eliminates flooding concerns.”
