As work continues on a water-related issue along Paw Paw Avenue, the roadway will be closed to traffic Thursday and Friday, December 10th and 11th as weather and contractor work permit in Benton Township.
The Berrien County Road Department expects the project to be complete by Saturday, December 12th if all goes well.
For the project, Paw Paw Avenue just south of Madeline Avenue will be closed to all traffic for maintenance work, both in the road and the road right-of-way to complete repair work to the previously reported water-related issue.
Traffic restrictions will be in place on Paw Paw Avenue south of Madeline Avenue (and south of
Campbell Avenue) where the road will be closed to all thru traffic on Thursday and Friday. Drivers are being asked to seek alternative routes or use the established detour route, which goes from Paw Paw Avenue to Madeline Avenue to North Shore Drive to Territorial Road and then back to Paw Paw Avenue, as shown in the graphic accompanying this story from the Berrien County Road Department.
