There will be a volunteer stewardship day at Warren Woods State Park next Saturday. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources tells us volunteers will work to protect native habitat while searching for small plants to treat with herbicide. Those who decide to help out are advised to wear long sleeves, pants- and sturdy shoes. The volunteer day will essentially amount to a walk in the woods. Volunteers will meet in the main parking area at 10 a.m. and the day will continue through 12 p.m.
