Villwocks Outdoor Living ribbon cutting May 5

What once was a dream of connecting community to gardening is now a reality for Villwocks Outdoor Living as their 24,000 square foot state-of-the-art greenhouse officially opened April 15th.

With a deep family history in local agriculture and horticulture, owner Mike Villwock knew one day he wanted to share his love for the land and soil with fellow Southwest Michigan residents & visitors. The addition of the new year-round space expands the garden center and nursery portion of Villwocks Outdoor Living and will allow for educational opportunities for beginning and advanced gardeners, planting classes, and more.

An official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting celebration will take place on Friday, May 5th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. jointly hosted by the Harbor Country Chamber and the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber. Guests will enjoy special savings all weekend long just in time for Mother’s Day, and a chance to speak with the Villwocks team and representatives from Bad Boy Mowers.

“We are excited to be opening this amazing new facility and we look forward to serving Michigan’s Great Southwest!” says owner, Mike Villwock. “So many great employees and customers have made this possible and we want to make sure they understand this would not be possible without them!”

Kimberlee Wendt, Harbor Country Chamber Executive Director says, “The Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce is excited to celebrate the large expansion of Villwocks Outdoor Living. Their company has provided quality landscaping services in Harbor Country® for many years. The new greenhouse offers yet another way for customers from this area to find quality plantings and equipment. We are sure many will make it a destination stop to surround their home or business with a landscape to be proud of.”

“We applaud Mike and his team for building on the longstanding name that Villwock’s has in Southwest Michigan’s agriculture and outdoor roots. This new addition turns seasonal jobs into year-round, provides opportunity for the community to connect, and cements Berrien Springs as a continued destination for all things outdoor,” says Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber President & CEO Arthur Havlicek.

In addition to the new greenhouse expansion, customers can take advantage of current services including lawn maintenance, new landscaping creation, sprinkler systems installation, outdoor power equipment sales and service, fall clean up, snow plowing, pest control, fertilizers, and on-site nursery featuring fruit trees and bushes available in their planting season, as well as vegetable seedlings, annuals, and perennials will continue to be available.
