Verve Pipe Lead Singer coming to CASA event in Niles

CASA of Southwest Michigan is hosting “Change a Child’s Story, a Picnic for a Purpose,” a music-filled, socially-distanced, outdoor, picnic featuring Brian VanderArk, multi-platinum lead singer of The Verve Pipe.

The event will be held 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on September 17 , 2021 on the grounds of the Morris Estate, 1560 Morris Drive, Niles.

Tickets are $35.00 per person and include a charcuterie dinner, concert and free picnic blanket.There will be a cash bar and auction. The event is family-friendly and accessible to all.

Brian Vander Ark is the lead singer and songwriter for The Verve Pipe.  His solo career includes four studio albums.  In 2007, he created the Lawn Chairs and Living Rooms House Concert Series, and has played over 800 shows in the homes of his fans.  Brian also released an album of cover songs June 2016, and an additional album of songs written with actor/musician Jeff Daniels, released in the winter of 2017.  Brian is also a speaker, traveling the country throughout the year telling his story to financial institutions, schools, non-profits.

“Change a Child’s Story, a Picnic for a Purpose” is intended to raise funds and awareness of the CASA program and the children in foster care we are honored to serve. CASA trains, supports, and mentors community volunteers who, in turn, advocate for the best interests of some of our most vulnerable children in foster care. This year, the program has served 106 children in Berrien and St. Joseph County, Michigan.
