Nobody can accuse State Representative Beth Griffin of losing focus on her mantra of jobs and business. The Mattawan leader was a vocal participant a week ago during a Legislative Roundtable discussion in St. Joseph moderated by Michigan Manufacturers Association Vice President Mike Johnston, and she’s chosen this Friday to announce an upcoming Jobs Roundtable in Paw Paw.
Griffin says she’s keeping up the steady drumbeat for both job creation and finding skilled trades people to fill existing gaps in the current workforce. The State Representative will host a Jobs Roundtable on Monday, October 23rd at the Carnegie Center, located at 129 S. Kalamazoo Street in Paw Paw.
Griffin will be joined at that roundtable by Tamara Davis from Western Michigan University. Davis is the regional director of the Western Michigan University Small Business Development Center.
In setting the stage for the session, Griffin says, “I look forward to speaking with business leaders about how we can work together to create jobs and drive economic growth.” She adds, “I’m glad that Tamara will be joining me to offer her insight and share resources with our local businesses.”
The event will take place from 6:30-7:30pm on that Monday evening and the session is open to the public.
Anyone unable to attend the event or those who have questions can contact Rep. Griffin by phone at 517-373-0839 or via email at BethGriffin@house.mi.gov.
Griffin campaigned hard on jobs and business related issues and has been keenly focused on those issues and many more in her term of office to date, representing portions of Michigan’s Great Southwest in the Michigan House of Representatives in Lansing.
