Van Buren County regulates Off Road Vehicles

The Van Buren County Board of Commissioners has approved a new Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) ordinance  to regulate ORV use within the county. The ordinance, developed in collaboration with various stakeholders, balances recreational opportunities with safety and environmental protection. It designates specific County roads for ORV use, sets speed limits, and restricts hours of operation. ORV registration, equipment standards, and operator licensing are required. Bloomingdale and Waverly Townships have opted out, prohibiting ORV use on their County roads. The ordinance takes effect immediately. More information and a map of authorized roads can be found on the Van Buren County website.  www.vanburencountymi.gov
