Vail Rubber Works of St. Joseph is expanding into Royalton Township.
The Royalton Township Board of Trustees this week approved an Industrial Facilities Exemption for Vail as it seeks to relocate operations from Langley Avenue in St. Joe to a new 70,000 square foot facility on Glenlord Road in the Royalton Township.
Cornerstone Alliance says this move will position Vail for continued growth and innovation in manufacturing.
The company is investing $16.9 million in the project. Pearson Construction has been selected to oversee the construction effort.
The tax break granted by Royalton Township to Vail this week will provide a 50% abatement of property taxes for 12 years on the company’s new facility.
Cornerstone’s Zachary Vaughn says the expansion into the new facility at Glenlord is expected to significantly enhance Vail’s production capabilities and maintain their leadership in the manufacturing sector. Cornerstone helped Vail secure the tax abatement.
Vail Rubber Works is a manufacturer of roll covers for industries like paper and metal.
