Congressman Fred Upton is concerned about inflation as consumer prices keep rising. He tells WSJM News events in the last couple of years have caused the problem.
“We’ve had a lot of government spending, in large part because of COVID, both under Trump as well as under Biden, and then at the end of this last week, you’ve got two different proposals and if you add them up, and the president’s trying to pass them both, it’s another $4 trillion that he wanted to spend with these two bills,” Upton said.
Upton says everyone is seeing the problem of rising costs for gas, cars, and services. He believes the $3.5 trillion federal spending plan being pushed by the Biden administration will make the situation worse if it passes, but also says its future isn’t looking bright.
