There’s a new boss down the hall in the HR department at United Federal Credit Union and she brings nearly 40 years of top notch experience to the table for the institution.
United Federal has announced Kimetha Firpo has taken the reins as Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
She brings more than 38 years of innovative leadership and managerial experience, and strong project and change management expertise.
As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Firpo will be responsible for providing operational and strategic leadership to the human resources team in the areas of compensation and benefit programs, payroll operations, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, data management, and training and development.
United President & CEO Terry O’Rourke says, “We are excited to welcome Kimetha to our executive leadership team,” and adds, “She is a strategic, skilled, versatile and innovative HR leader who has proven experience in attracting and retaining top talent to drive organizational growth and effectiveness, as well as developing work-life balance programs. Prior to joining United, Firpo served as Senior Vice President of HRIS and Organizational Development at MB Financial, and Senior Vice President of Human Resources with American Chartered Bank. In addition, she served as Principal Consultant at Rupert & Company, Vice President of Account Management at Ceridian/Work Family Directions, and Vice President at BMO Harris Bank.
Firpo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology from the University of Rochester, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the Booth School of Business.
