You’ll have to excuse Heather Romano if her image of some of your friends is a little warped. Keep in mind her days are filled with Elvis wigs, oversized glasses, and every color of feather boa under the sun. Frankly, however, she wouldn’t have it any other way. Romano is Chief Photographer and Owner of Life’s a Ball! “Live” Photobooth of Union Pier, and she’s ready to party when you are.
Life’s A Ball! “Live” Photobooth is Romano’s unique open-air concept — a modern twist on the nostalgic photobooth. Her set up is similar to a photo shoot…wherein you get a photographer with a professional digital slr camera, professional lighting, and a beautiful backdrop. She like’s to describe it as “a separate event within your event.” Her specialties are wedding receptions and private parties.
Currently,Romano serves the entire stretch from Michigan’s Great Southwest all the way to Northern Michigan, and every town in between. They don’t cross the Mighty Mac, (Mackinac Bridge) however, they will take Shepler’s or Arnold’s ferry boats over to Mackinac island. This expansive area she serves is both appealing and accommodating for couples getting married in the beautiful Great Lakes state.
Heather readily admits that Life’s A Ball! “Live” Photobooth is her full-time job. As such, she’ll be working with you from the moment you choose her business for your event until after your event concludes. She’s very knowledgeable and resourceful in the photobooth world, and routinely goes above and beyond, making sure every last detail is perfect. When people ask Heather how Life’s A Ball! “Live” Photobooth came about she loves to tell them her story. When trying to figure out what direction she wanted to go as a photographer, she took some time to really think about it. About a year ago, she made the final decision that the only answer for her was a photobooth, so, she combined her photography experience with a love for photographing people having fun, and Voila, here she is, loving what she does.
People love the fact that their photo is taken by a photographer with professional gear. She says, “Interacting with guests while capturing their spontaneous, sometimes outrageous, and heartfelt moments simply can’t be surpassed.” She notes that she has a huge space that is accommodating for large groups who all want to be in the photo together, so there’s no more squishing into a booth and wondering if the photo is going to turn out.
Heather also employs an assistant with a great personality attending the photobooth to help hosts and their guests at the prop table and making sure the print station is running smoothly.
Her photobooth packages include onsite printing, utilizing only the industry’s finest printers which are very fast. Guests take home beautiful high-quality 4×6 prints in a photo folder, or you can also upgrade to 5×7 prints; priced according to guest count.
After your event, all of the images taken will be available in a private online hosted gallery where hosts and guest alike can view the images. That affords everyone the chance to share the photos on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media. You can even download for printing on your own time.
Heather says “Grab a prop & strike a pose! It’s no surprise that we carry an exceptional variety of props, as they are truly the core of a photobooth. From Staches, boas, and lips, to hand-held signs, glasses & wigs, and so much more, each and every prop is hand-selected.” She also notes that if you are in need of specific props, she welcomes custom prop orders, and can make a lot of props and knows great places to get them, as well.
The business plan includes 50 miles (100 round-trip) with your photobooth. If you’re more than 50 miles from Union Pier, there is a travel fee, and you can contact her for a quote
Romano also offers add-on items for the photobooth package. The most popular is their scrapbook. Guests wishing to contribute will have their photo taken, place their photo in the scrapbook and even sign the page as well. All prints, necessary supplies & a table are included. The scrapbook is fully assembled and ready to take home when your event ends.
She says that a flashdrive with all of the images taken at your event is optional, but highly recommended. It’s convenient and makes life easier when you’re wanting to get prints made. Plus, it comes delivered to you in a high-quality box.
If you need to put the photobooth on hold while the cake is being cut and the speeches are taking place, they offer idle hours which are used specifically for those special times at your event.
