If you like flowers, you may want to make a trip to Holland. Tulip Time kicks off on Saturday and there are four and a half million tulips throughout the city for nine day festival.
“We have an artisan market, quilt show, 5k and 10k runs, all the parks have tulips in bloom, it’s just a really nice time of year and a great way to come celebrate mom,” says Tulip Time executive director Gwen Auwerda. She says they have Dutch dance, two Dutch exhibits this year, a Tulip Immersion Garden and a photography exhibit. There’s also a couple of parades, a carnival and fireworks on Saturda, May 14th.
