He’s one of the few who have successfully fooled the world renowned Penn and Teller, but the question is, do you think he can fool you? You have the chance to find out by going to see The Magic of Stuart MacDonald, at Lakeshore Community Auditorium this Saturday at 6:30pm. Best of all for the entire community is that all proceeds will go to benefit the United Way of Southwest Michigan.
Stuart MacDonald spends his days at Whirlpool as a Senior Training Analyst, but he also holds an impressive resume based on his lifelong passion for magic. This is your chance to see his world-acclaimed act at Lakeshore High School this Saturday, August 11th, up close and personal, not just on some YouTube video.
The past year and half has been a busy one for magician Stuart MacDonald as he has taken his acts to various places around the world. In 2017, Stuart attended the qualification round for the World Championships of Magic. It was there that he set a record number of awards in a single competition — five in all. Shortly thereafter, Stuart was cast on the hit TV show Penn and Teller’s Fool Us. Again, Stuart rose to the occasion and was able to “Fool” the famed magicians/entertainers. Next, Stuart found himself in front of two sold out crowds at the Winter Gardens theater, one the largest theaters in the United Kingdom. With 7,000 members in the audience, Stuart wowed with his special creation, “The Unintentional Magician.”
Just last month, Stuart represented the USA as the country’s top magician in the World Championships of Magic, held in Busan, Korea. Among the world’s best magicians, he received a standing ovation for his performance (so did 10 other magicians). In all, Stuart took 8th place in the world and remains the highest ranked in all of the Americas.
As Stuart’s next adventure awaits, he finds himself filtering through opportunities including TV productions, organized festivals, and theaters seeking talented acts. Having been offered to perform in Beijing, Stuart had to defer the opportunity as he’d already been contacted to share his experiences through the Ted Talks organization and its millions of followers.
Your chance to see this amazingly talented man is Saturday at the Lakeshore Community Auditorium, located at 5771 Cleveland Avenue in Stevensville. Tickets are $10 each for adults, $7 for children aged 3 to 17 and children two and under are admitted free of charge. Here’s the link to get your tickets today:
