Happy Harvest Anniversary, Round Barn! Celebrating 30 years of innovation, expanded product offerings, and creating exceptional experiences for guests from around the world, Round Barn invites you to come celebrate this monumental milestone with a bang– three days of 90s jams, food trucks, themed beverages, dance parties, and more!
Forty-one years ago in 1981, Round Barn began as a dream. Rick and Sherrie Moersch purchased land in Baroda, moved into the property with their young family, and planted the vines that would, in just over a decade, become the Heart of the Vineyard Winery in 1992. This fertile land would eventually grow to become Round Barn Winery, Distillery, and Brewery.
Now thirty years later, their son, Matt Moersch has taken the reins as CEO and Owner of Moersch Hospitality Group and is bringing that dream to the next level.
“Over the last 30 years, Round Barn has been a true passion project,” says Matt. “Every time we develop a new product or augment an experience in some way, our customers respond positively– it makes us even more passionate about coming up with the next big thing to surprise and delight them. This has become so much more than just a winery, brewery, or a distillery – it really is a community, a place for friends and family to gather and spend time together. Honestly, we couldn’t be more proud of everything we’ve accomplished in these last thirty years, and couldn’t be more excited for what the next thirty has in store.”
Photo by RoundBarnEstateThis extravaganza will be so fly, kicking off on Friday, August 12th, with a 90s themed dance party led by The BBQs DJ Collective, featuring a throw-back to your favorite jams, from Backstreet Boys to NSync, LL Cool J, and Salt-N-Pepa! There is no cover charge for Friday’s bash, and they’re just getting the party started.
Saturday’s festivities begin at 11 a.m, and your $25 ticket for the day will include 8 tasting tokens, admission to Jammin’ In the Vineyard Live Music, and a branded 30th Anniversary glass. Live music will be provided by local band Pablo’s Great Revenge, and they’ll take the stage from 1 p.m to 3:30 p.m, showcasing Rock, Country, Soul, and a mix of their own original songs. From 4 p.m to 6:30 p.m, headliner Trippin Billies, the nation’s most renowned and longest-touring Dave Mathews Tribute band, plays your favorites hits while you dance the night away.
Sunday’s musical performances will feature the ever-popular Rebecca Anne Band from 1 p.m to 3 p.m, and award-winning Blues, R&B, Funk, and Soul Review, Lady Sunshine from 3:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m. Tickets for Sunday also run at $25 per person, and include the eight tasting tokens, concert admission, and 30th Anniversary glass.
Throughout the weekend, the Estate will welcome a variety of local food trucks, including the Round Barn Food Truck, specializing in flavorful bowls & snacks, Evelyn Mae’s BBQ, offering specialty meats & homestyle BBQ out of St. Joseph, and Baby Got S’Mac from Fort Wayne IN, serving up “snacs and macs” inspired by flavors around the world.
“We started out as a little red barn on a hill, and have grown into an experience and event destination that serves winos and wanderers alike, creating memories that last a lifetime,” says Events & Marketing Specialist for Moersch Hospitality Group, Jennifer Marren.
Named one of USA Today’s 10 Best Wineries/Vineyards with Live Music, the ‘Jammin’ in the Vineyard’ live music series, sponsored by Honor Credit Union, offers a wildly popular, exceptional lineup of musicians that play on the Estate from May through October each year.
Tickets for the 30th Anniversary Bash are available for purchase now, and can be found at roundbarn.com. Congrats on thirty years, and here’s to many more!
