The Three Oaks Flag Day Committee would like to thank the community, donors, and volunteers for a successful Three Oaks Flag Day Hog Roast. The annual hog roast is not only an unofficial kickoff to the summer season and Flag Day Festivities it is a pertinent fundraiser to sustain the beloved parade.
This year’s event was a smashing success in part to our donors: Granor Farms, Fieldworks Club, Lion’s Den, DeRuiter Greenhouse, Drier’s Meat Market, MAK, Harrington Photography, Equilibrium, Kinetic, American Legion Post 204, as well as private individual donations to the silent auction.
The Flag Day Weekend is not possible without the assistance of dedicated volunteers throughout the year. We would like to thank Gloria Thomas for not only preparing a feast for over 200 people but for being on hand to serve. Thank you to the Three Oaks/River Valley Royalty for adding a sparkle to the event and to the newly crowned Flag Day Prince & Princess for starting their reign with this fun event. To the Three Oaks Flag Day Committee, your support and dedication to the weekend and fundraising efforts are unwavering and are the reason we are celebrating 70 years this June.
