The Love Spell Boutique Opens in New Buffalo

“I’ve always wanted people to feel good in their clothing, and fall in love with what they’re wearing,” says Krystan Iazzetto, owner of brand-new New Buffalo shop: The Love Spell Boutique.
Located inside the terracotta and sand-colored brick building at 7 East Clay Street, The Love Spell Boutique is bright, airy, and filled with gorgeous textiles and jewelry. The natural earth tones of her clothing pop against the dark wood flooring, and of the many pieces of apparel donning the racks and shelves, something is sure to catch your eye as soon as you enter.

A graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Professional Sales, Krystan traveled across the country (and even France) working as a clothing brand sales rep, while realizing owning her own store could bring her the chance to shine in her most natural element.

“Art and fashion have always been my main interests, and having my own store has been a long-time dream,” she says. When mentioning to a friend her new endeavor of beginning an  online/e-commerce business, she offered Krystan the opportunity to do a pop-up shop at one of her own events. “Robin, (her friend, owner of Mitten Beach Designs), told me about markets and pop-ups and how great they could be to get my name out there! I ended up doing more than sixty pop-ups in 2021, and enjoyed every one of them.”

Mobile businesses and outdoor markets grow more popular every year, with the amount of farm markets, artisan shows, and festivals Southwest Michigan hosts, and the work that goes into them is extensive.
“There was so much traveling for the pop-ups, on top of having a full time job,” says Krystan. “A brick and mortar business was always the goal. Having a consistent schedule for the boutique will allow me to fulfill my dreams!”

The Love Spell Boutique is ever-present on social media, and can be easily found on the corner of Clay and Whittaker streets in New Buffalo. “New Buffalo is my hometown and holds a special place in my heart,” she says. “I feel so blessed to have a shop here where I can share my interests and ideas with locals and visitors!”

Currently the boutique is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, but you can shop in person:
Thursday: 11 am – 5 pm
Fri, Sat, Sun: 11 am – 6 pm
Monday: 11 am – 5 pm
Krystan will host the Grand Opening of her store on Saturday, May 28th, just in time for warm weather. Follow The Love Spell Boutique on Instagram and Facebook, and watch this season’s linen dresses, babydoll tops, floral prints, and summery wares fill her new space.
