The Lincoln Township Library will close this month for renovations, but patrons won’t be all out of luck.

Speaking to the Lincoln Township Board of Trustees this week, Library Director Joelle Wake said the new temporary location will be up and running on the 16th. It’ll offer the same hours and a handful of services. The library is also adding a delivery service.

“During our closure, we will do a Book Dash program,” Wake said. “It will deliver books to anyone who may not be able to make it over to the temporary location. So, we’ll bring them right to your door. You can sign up online, or you can contact us at the library currently, and we’ll start delivering, dashing over those books on Tuesdays and Thursdays while we’re closed.”

Wake said the temporary location will offer internet services and printing. They’ll also have a small collection of books to browse.

The temporary location is 459 Hollywood Road, right next to Roger’s Foodland.

The work taking place at the main library building is expected to take about 12 weeks. The $1.5 million project will mean the installation of new shelving, new carpeting and paint, added amenities like a coffee alcove, a digital lab, a dedicated teen space, and enhancements to the early literacy center. They’re also expanding the large meeting room.
