If the hopeless romantic in you prevails this year, you can send a truly memorable Valentine’s Day gift to someone right here in Michigan’s Great Southwest thanks to a local non-profit group called The Lighthouse Chorus.
On Friday, February 14th, members of the local, non-profit a Cappella chorus is offering up the delivery of Singing Valentines throughout the region for an unforgettable message this year.
If you want to make Valentine’s Day fun and unique this year, the group is offering to surprise your special someone with a Singing Valentine. Several quartets from the Lighthouse Chorus will deliver Singing Valentines throughout the region on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th.
Jay Wort, President of the Chorus, says, “This is one of our most enjoyable projects, because we get to deliver an unforgettable message to someone’s sweetheart, family member, special client or customer,” adding, “We have serenaded both men and women in a variety of locations, including restaurants, supermarkets, classrooms, business offices, retail shops and homes.”
For just $45, a Chorus quartet will deliver two love songs, a long-stem rose and a personalized card to your special someone. A limited number of bookings is available, so anyone interested should book early to ensure delivery.
The Lighthouse Chorus actually gathers weekly to share their love of singing. They perform primarily in the four-part harmony of the barbershop style, and their repertoire includes everything from Broadway to Gospel to Doo Wop. They have performed throughout Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana, singing in a variety of venues.
