Survey Finds Many Employers Planning Year End Bonuses

Things are looking up for a lot of U.S. companies after nearly two years of a pandemic. A new survey by Robert Half Staffing shows 77% of employers surveyed plan to award year-end bonuses and 96% of companies will offer raises in the next six months. Robert Half researcher Neal Gilbert told Michigan News Network many employees have been dealing with heavier workloads, rising burnout, and worker shortages.

“It looks like this year since we’ve been seeing quite a bit of a rebound in a lot of industries, the employees are going to be rewarded for the sacrifices that they’ve made,” Gilbert said.
If a company can’t afford bonuses, Gilbert says they could offer other benefits like allowing an employee to continue working from home where they save commuter costs or help them with home office costs.
