Southwest Michigan’s premier manufacturer of ceramics, glass and graphite for use in laboratory spectrometers has announced key front office promotions designed to accommodate the firm’s recent business growth and expansion. Alpha Resources of Stevensville, which is also a certified creator of laboratory reference materials anchored on Johnson Road, continues to face a strong outlook as a leader in their industry.
Alpha has promoted Ashley Sousa from front desk and domestic Customer Service to Exports/International Customer Service. Ashley started in 2016 in Alpha’s lab as a Lab Technician before moving to the front desk. Her aptitude for the logistical details of shipping and her unflappable demeanor were critical to her consideration for the increase in responsibility.
Christine Margherone has transferred from Exports/International Customer Service to the Accounting Department. In that promotion to Purchasing Agent, Christine will be responsible for ensuring all incoming supplies for Alpha’s manufacturing centers are in order and flow smoothly. Christine’s extensive knowledge of Alpha’s internal finance systems as well as her strong background in both accounting and office management were critical in her selection for that role. Christine holds an associate degree in Accounting from the College of DuPage.
