Staffing firm: find a balance between remote work and office work

Many people began working from home when the pandemic hit and now many still work from home at least part of the time. New research from staffing firm Robert Half shows employers and employees may finally be coming to agreement about remote work. Robert Half recruiting manager Shannon Edlinger commented on the findings.

“We’re showing that 53% of U.S. managers want a hybrid team,” Edlinger said. “Hybrid is a combination of remote work and in-office work, and U.S. workers, 44% want a hybrid team as well.”

However, Edlinger says 58% of Gen Z, born in the 1990s to 2010, fear that remote work will negatively impact their career progression opportunities. She says a hybrid situation is the way of the future for the labor market.
