Wright, who is the owner/broker at Wright Properties in St. Joseph, is reporting a banner year for the record-breaking year of 2020 in the local market. According to the Southwestern Michigan Association of Realtors year-end report, Wright not only finished in the top 1-percent in a field of more than 900 competing members, he remains the top-selling independent broker in the region, having sold more than $31-million worth of real estate in the pandemic year of 2020.
Wright says, “I’m lucky to be living and working in a region that continues to be in high demand,” and adds, “It’s a very attractive, idyllic lifestyle that buyers want right now.”
While helping buyers and sellers throughout Southwest Michigan, Wright continues to be the exclusive listing agent for the Harbor Shores Resort community, and attributes much of his success to his 12 year partnership with that resort project.

Wright became a broker in 2005 while living in Florida where he helped open four master-planned communities before moving to Chicago where he was recognized as a top producer in 2008. As for the new year, Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors reported that “with news that a COVID-19 vaccine will soon be available, and with mortgage rates projected to hover around 3-percent in 2021, I expect the market’s growth to continue into 2021.” Yun forecasts existing-home sales to rise by 10-percent to 6 million in 2021.
