The largest employer in Berrien County has added another quartet of medical practitioners at several sites across the region, bringing new talent to the healthcare world in Michigan’s Great Southwest.
Spectrum Health Lakeland has welcomed Aaron Lanning, FNP, to the medical staff. Lanning will see patients alongside Doctors Paul Judge and Dennis Thompson at Lakeland Ear, Nose, and Throat, with practice locations in Niles and St. Joseph.
Lanning earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a family nurse practitioner certification from the University of Michigan. He has over 10 years of clinical experience and, prior to coming to Lakeland, worked as a nurse practitioner for Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique, Michigan caring for primary and urgent care patients with a focus on ENT-specific conditions.

Elsewhere, Spectrum Health Lakeland has added Alexander George, PA, to the medical staff. George will see patients alongside Doctors Christian Sikorski, Rafeek Woods, and Physician’s Assistant Angela Blomgren, at Lakeland Neurosurgery, located at 3950 Hollywood Road, Suite 210 in St. Joseph.
George earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Kettering College in Kettering, Ohio. Prior to coming to Lakeland, he worked as a medical scribe at South Bend Clinic. George is also a certified emergency medical technician.
George says, “My desire as a physician assistant is to go beyond curing a disease and to educate patients to take control of their health, recognize what they can do to live a healthy life, and create relationships with them where they can trust in my care and my abilities to treat them.”

Meanwhile, Spectrum Health Lakeland has welcomed pediatrician, Dr. Elizabeth Douce, to the medical staff. Dr. Douce will see patients alongside five other physicians and advance practitioners at Southwestern Medical Clinic in Stevensville, located at 5515 Cleveland Avenue. The practice is currently accepting new patients from birth to 18 years of age.
Dr. Douce earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed a pediatrics residency with Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Prior to coming to Lakeland, Dr. Douce served as a pediatrician at The Pediatric Center in Leesville, Louisiana. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a current American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow. Dr. Douce also completed medical mission trips to both Nicaragua and Honduras.
Emily Caudell is Practice Manager at the clinic. Wolff earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a family nurse practitioner certification from Spring Arbor University. She has over 10 years of clinical experience working at Spectrum Health Lakeland in the emergency department and with the vascular access team. Wolff is a Member of the American Association for Nurse Practitioners.
She says, “In my new role I am looking forward to sharing my passion for staying active and eating healthy with my patients to help reduce their risk for chronic conditions while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”
