The city of South Haven will hold its inaugural Touch-A-Truck event on September 27 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Huron Street Pavilion. City Manager Kate Hosier says the city council approved it at Tuesday’s meeting.
“We’re building from the Night Out event in August that was organized by Safe Kids of South Haven. What we thought about doing was making sure the community knows who we are and what we do. We’re going to have the city’s public works department, the police department, South Haven Area Emergency Services having trucks and personnel out there and having a nice night with everyone, big kids and little kids, coming out to touch a truck and learn about what we do.”
The event is free and open to everyone.
