The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce has welcomed three new members to its board: Molly Restum, Kevin Hagan, and Lyon Johnson.
Executive director of the chamber Kathy Wagaman noted that these individuals bring valuable expertise and insights that will help advance the chamber’s mission.
“One of the things that we look for in our board members is that we cover different categories so that we have input from our board members that pertain to different types of businesses,” Wagaman says.
Restum, a third-generation blueberry farmer, adds agricultural knowledge to the board. Hagan, who runs his own State Farm agency, offers expertise in professional services. Johnson, the superintendent of Bangor schools, contributes valuable perspectives from the education sector.
“Collectively, we just feel each of these individuals brings such a vast array of business and professional knowledge and we’re just really anticipating a great opportunity to work with them and to glean from their insight and their expertise.”
The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce is governed by a nine-member board, with each member serving a three-year term. The new members will officially assume their roles in January.
