SMSO Moves Friday ‘Sound of Music’ Inside at Mendel Center

Due to the weather, the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra is relocating its The Sound Of Music production on Friday, July 28, to the Mendel Center Mainstage at Lake Michigan College. We apologize for any inconvenience, but feel the comfort and safety of our patrons and musicians is of the utmost importance.

The showtime remains the same at 6:30pm, doors opening at 5:30pm. With this move, we are happy to be able to provide you with air conditioning, comfortable seating, barrier free access, and ample parking! Premium Zone A seating on the Main Floor will be roped off to accommodate our guests who have purchased Reserved and Table seating. Water, soda, and a selection of beer and wine will be available for purchase via cash or card. At this time, the availability of food trucks is undetermined so please plan accordingly.

For those who have their heart set on the complete outdoor beach experience (tables, food trucks, beach scenery and all), Friday tickets can be exchanged for Saturday’s performance which will continue as planned at the Shadowland Pavilion on Silver Beach. Tickets remain on sale for both Friday and Saturday.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our Box Office at 269-982-4030. We look forward to having you join us this weekend!

Tickets for this concert can still be purchased at the door and online.  You won’t want to miss this fabulous musical that features many of your friends and neighbors from the Southwest Michigan community whether it is performed outside or inside! Tickets are $25 for general seating, $5 for students ages 6-17 and children ages 5 and under are free.
