SJ Today Spotlights Halloween Activities

St. Joe Today and participating businesses invite the SWMI community to enjoy two great Halloween events this October – Pumpkins on Parade and Halloween Trick-Or-Treat!

SWMI businesses and restaurants host Pumpkins on Parade, a pumpkin decorating contest. Participating locations will display their decorated pumpkins from October 21 through October 31. The community is invited to view the pumpkins and vote for their favorite. Votes can be cast online at stjoetoday.com/vote from 10:00a October 21 to 11:59p October 31. Special thanks to Silver Beach Pizza and Prillwitz Fruit Farms for the coordination and donation of pumpkins for this event.

St. Joe Today hosts Halloween Trick-Or-Treat in Downtown St. Joseph and the Benton Harbor Arts District on Monday, October 31 from 4:30p-6:00p. Youth are encouraged to wear their costumes and visit participating locations. This event is sponsored by Holt Bosse.

In St. Joseph, the first 750 youths to stop by the St. Joe Today Welcome Center, 301 State Street, will receive a trick-or-treat bag courtesy of Holt Bosse.

In the Benton Harbor Arts District, the first 250 youths to stop by the Benton Harbor Public Library table in Arts Park will receive a trick-or-treat bag from Holt Bosse. Special thanks to the Benton Harbor Public Library, Benton Harbor DDA and the Benton Harbor Area Schools for helping make this event possible in the Arts District.

Additional Halloween fun: The City of St. Joseph will host a Truck or Treat event on Saturday, October 29 from 4:00p-6:00p and City-wide Trick-Or-Treat on Monday, October 31 from 6:00p-7:30p. St. Joe Today will host Spooky Tours of the St. Joe City Cemetery and Mausoleum on Saturday, October 22 from 1:00p-6:00p. Tours will be offered every 15 minutes starting at 1:00p (ex. 1:00p, 1:15p, 1:30p, 1:45p) and are limited to 20 people per tour time slot.
