Saying that the decision was made “with the utmost regard for the health of our community,” organizers of the wildly popular, and always sold-out, talent showcase renowned as ENCORE, have made the difficult decision to once again postpone the big event.
The St. Joseph Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors and the ENCORE Steering Committee have announced the postponement of Encore 2020ne this week. It marks the second time the fundraising show featuring talented St. Joe Alumni has been rescheduled due to COVID. While disappointing, organizers and cast members are excited that the new date, August 12-13, 2022, will coincide with the high schools’ 150th commencement ceremony year.
Dennis Bowen, longtime Choral Director at the high school and Producer of ENCORE says, “This decision was made out of the utmost regard for the health of our community, and the nearly 200 cast members, who travel from all over the world to perform at their alma mater. Stay tuned, because our enthusiasm and dedication for putting on a fantastic show that raises funds for the St. Joseph Public Schools Foundation is greater than ever!”
