Short Distance –Big Move in downtown SJ for ‘The Culinary Cottage’

606 Ship st

Downtown St. Joseph’s ‘Culinary Cottage’ will be making a big move this fall—although physically it will only be a couple of blocks.  The popular cooking class store and private event caterer will be leaving ‘The Market’ at Main & Pleasant Street and moving to its own storefront at 606 Ship Street.  That’s between Main and State, in the space formerly occupied by Waterfront Framing and Fashion, which expanded and moved around the corner to 209  State Street earlier this year.

The word came from Culinary Cottage owner Tara Newman in a social media post:

We are thrilled to announce that The Culinary Cottage is expanding! After almost 3 incredible years at The Market, we’re moving to a brand-new location on 606 Ship Street to bring you even more unforgettable culinary experiences.

This new location is only one block away!

In addition to our cooking classes and community events, we’re excited to introduce The Cottage Bakery—a collection of talented cottage bakers sharing their incredible creations! This new addition will offer you the best local, artisanal baked goods, all under one roof.

Thank you for being part of our journey—we couldn’t have done it without you!

Stay tuned for more details and sneak peeks as we prepare to welcome you into our new home.

Last class at The Market is our pasta class, Thursday, September 12. New opening date scheduled for October 21.

The Market at 301 Main is about to celebrate its third anniversary downtown, housing a variety of mini-businesses in a plaza atmosphere, with the accent on food and beverages.  There’s no immediate word on what might occupy the space being vacated by The Culinary Cottage.
