A state workgroup tasked with developing recommendations for how Michigan can respond to climate change will start holding some public sessions for people to learn more. The Michigan Department of Energy, Great Lakes and the Environment gives us the details below:
The Department of Energy, Great Lakes and the Environment (EGLE) just announced two opportunities for members of the public to learn about and provide input on the Council on Climate Solutions’ workgroup recommendations. Strong public engagement around these recommendations is vital to ensure that the MI Healthy Climate Plan will help us reach carbon neutrality by 2050 without over-reliance on things like carbon offsets and industry subsidies.
The sessions will take place this week virtually on Dec. 1 from 9:30–11:30 am, and Dec. 2 from 6–8 pm.
