SBN TO CELEBRATE BREEZE AIRWAYS’ INAUGURAL FLIGHT TO WASHINGTON DULLES

Officials will welcome Breeze Airways to South Bend International Airport (SBN) with the inaugural arrival of flight #650 from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on Friday, November 8 at 10:25 a.m.

Breeze will land at Gate 4, SBN’s newest gate. Breeze’s Chief Guest Officer Fiona Kiesel, South Bend Mayor James Mueller, St. Joseph County Commissioner Carl Baxmeyer, and members of the St. Joseph County Airport Authority Board will take part in a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

Upon the flight’s arrival, officials will celebrate with a champagne christening of the aircraft on the ramp.

Passengers will be treated to a gate party featuring cake, balloons, and SBN giveaways.

“We are thrilled to welcome Breeze Airways to SBN as our fifth airline,” said Mike Daigle, South Bend International Airport CEO and Executive Director. “There is much to celebrate with back-to-back inaugural flights to Orlando and Washington, D.C. We look forward to a long partnership with Breeze including a third nonstop to Fort Myers in February.”

Breeze begins nonstop service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) this evening, November 7. Nonstop flights to Fort Myers (RSW) are on sale at flybreeze.com and begin on February 5, 2025.
