It has been three years since the last in-person auction was held for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School in St. Joseph, and they are ready to see you! Friday, April 28th, 2023 will present the S.C.E.N.E. Silent Auction to the public, with the ticketed Live Auction & Dinner taking place the following evening, Saturday, April 29th. This year’s auction theme is “A Weekend at the Lake”.
Though this S.C.E.N.E. (Strong Catholic Education Needs Everyone) event is still two months away, Tracey Giannola and the rest of the committee are gearing up to ready the community for this long-awaited auction. Previous years have featured a whopping 700 items up for bid, and a collection of that size takes time to procure!
“All funds raised go directly into our school system and are used for education, athletics, and the like,” says Tracey. “The items we auction include a little bit of everything from our local businesses: gift cards, gift baskets, experiences, artwork, appliances, workout classes, and more!”
S.C.E.N.E. will accept donations until April 10th, and you can contact Tracey at 269-757-1217 or tgiannola@lmclakers.org, if you’d like to submit items. Among item donations, businesses are also able purchase ads to help support the fundraiser. Ads will be visible on every page of the auction site, and placement varies by price.
This year’s auction will differ slightly from previous, as bidding for the silent auction will be held online through the One Cause Auction website. The live auction on Saturday will require bidders to be present.
As donations pour in over the next few weeks and we inch nearer to the auction date, keep an eye out for an update– when the auction site goes live, we’ll let you know. Find out more about Our Lady of the Lake at lmclakers.org.
