MI Restaurant Industry Applauds American Rescue Plan’s Restaurant Revitalization Fund

Michigan’s restaurant industry is singing the praises of President Joe Biden and his American Rescue Plan…specifically the Restaurant Revitalization Fund included in it.

Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association President & CEO Justin Winslow has issued a statement in response to the American Rescue Plan from the Biden administration, saying:

“Through the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund just signed into law by President Biden, Michigan’s small and independent restaurants will have access to the scope of economic relief that the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association and the National Restaurant Association have been aggressively advocating for since the onset of the pandemic. We thank the Michigan delegation for their compassion and dedicated support for this industry-specific assistance that we know will save thousands of restaurants, restore many more jobs and kickstart what we expect to be an unprecedented revival later this year.”

Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association (MRLA) is the recognized leader of Michigan’s hospitality industry, providing essential services to the foodservice and lodging community. Founded in 1921 as the Michigan Restaurant Association and now known as the MRLA, the Association represents over 5,000 Michigan foodservice and lodging establishments.
