As part of the US-31 relocation and I-94 Rebuilding Michigan project, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing two I-196 ramps at I-94 for construction in Benton Township, Berrien County.
The southbound I-196 ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed from Monday, Oct. 11, through Saturday, Oct. 16. Southbound I-196 traffic will be detoured on eastbound I-94 to Coloma Exit 39 Friday Road, then back onto westbound I-94.
The westbound I-94 ramp to northbound I-196 will be closed Monday, Oct. 11, and Tuesday, Oct. 12. The detour is Coloma Exit 39 Friday Road north to Red Arrow Highway, then west on Red Arrow Highway to northbound I-196.
