Competitive Edge, headquartered in Stevensville, has once again demonstrated it is one of the leading full-service promotional product distributors in the United States.

CE  announced it has been recognized as one of the 2024 Greatest Companies to Work For by the industry group Promotional Products Association International (PPAI).  CE said in a statement that this achievement underscores the company’s commitment to fostering an affirming and supportive work environment.

The PPAI’s ‘2024 Greatest Companies To Work For’ list highlights organizations that have excelled in meeting their employees’ needs. Competitive Edge stood out among the 106 companies recognized this year, a testament to its dedication to nurturing a positive workplace culture. Companies featured in this prestigious list were evaluated based on employee feedback regarding various aspects of their work experience, including confidence in the company’s future, benefits packages, and operational values.

In addition, Competitive Edge recently ranked among the Top 100 Promotional Product Distributors by PPAI, further cementing its position as a leader in the industry.

Mary Jo Tomasini, MAS+, Founder & CEO of Competitive Edge, shared her gratitude, stating, “It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by PPAI both as a top workplace and as a leader in our industry. This recognition is a testament to our team’s unwavering dedication and the strong, supportive culture we’ve cultivated. Our employees are the cornerstone of our success, and their feedback reaffirms the positive impact of our collective efforts.”

The PPAI website says that employees’ favorite aspects of working at Competitive Edge include personal confidence in the future, work/life balance, appreciation by management, recognition and praise, confidence in leadership, high NPS score (Net Promoter Score), growth experience, motivation to succeed, and strong values and ethics.

According to one employee, “Competitive Edge is giving me everything I would look for in a place to work. Professional leadership is very important to me. You want to work for a company that cares for all their employees, keeps their word and treats them with respect. If issues arise – and they will – they are addressed and dealt with, not brushed away. This keeps morale high and encourages staff to keep working as a team.”

Competitive Edge has offices in Stevensville and Grand Rapids.   In February, the firm acquired a longtime Detroit area competitor, Creative Specialties, and merged it into the CE operation.  CE was founded by CEO Mary Jo Tomasini in 1993.
