Amber Williams might want to consider changing the name of her business from Power in Motion to Power in Perpetual Motion…because if there is anything she has been since launching her business ten years ago it is seemingly perpetual motion.
Having already moved once way back in the early days and expanded twice, she will break ground this summer on a new 16,500 square foot addition to her burgeoning gym, resulting in 33,550 square feet under roof — virtually doubling her footprint — when all is said and done late this fall. She’s become one of Cornerstone Alliance’s Small Business Services and Women’s Business Center’s most prolific clients over the years.
In the meantime, her powerhouse business continues to grow exponentially and she’s welcoming in her clients, friends, family members and the general public for a Free Family Fun Event celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Power in Motion Gymnastics this weekend.
Coming Saturday, June 15th from 4:30pm until 6:30pm, Power in Motion Gymnastics, at 3889 M-139, will host an Open House event and a Grand Opening celebration to the proceedings at 4:30pm, with activities in the house starting at 4:45pm.
During the 10th Anniversary celebration, you will be able to try different styles of dance, make a run through the Obstacle Courses throughout the gym, play on the inflatables, take part in games, enjoy snow cones, and enter four different raffles for prizes including a Power in Motion Water Bottle, a free Family Registration, one of 5 Open Gym passes, and a Power in Motion t-shirt.
Williams has been on a meteoric rise since establishing the business in space next door to her current location in Royalton Township and then expanding a couple of times to accommodate her growing list of clientele. She says it’s not unusual at all for her student list to exceed 1,100 and that’s why she’s pushing out the walls once again with yet another expansion, this time encompassing an additional 16,500 square feet of gym targeted for completion by late fall, which essentially doubles the square footage there. She has some 30 people on her payroll, as well, as the business soars on.
