B&L Information Systems of Bridgman, the leading provider of software solutions for the foundry and die casting industries, has announced the retirement of longtime President Philip Laney.
Laney has dedicated over 38 years of service to the company his father, Dick Laney, founded in 1976. Philip’s customer-focused leadership and commitment to innovation have been instrumental in shaping B&L’s solutions to meet the evolving needs of the metals industry. Transitioning B&L to a Cloud/SaaS based software company was Phil Laney’s most recent accomplishment.
Kevin Ramirez steps into the role of President with 25 plus years of global experience working with various Machine tool manufactures, CAD/CAM software & shop floor business system solutions. Most recently Ramirez worked as the President of SigmaTEK Systems, LLC a business unit of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions.
Ramirez said he is excited about his new leadership role at B & L. “B&L Information System’s team has done a fantastic job developing an industry-leading ERP software solution that supports our customers in die casting, foundry, and investment casting. In a short time, I’ve seen our team’s depth of knowledge, experience, and level of professionalism—and that’s what excites me about joining B&L. I feel honored and privileged to lead B&L Information Systems and to continue building on the successes achieved here, investing in sustainable, long-term customer and business partnerships.”
Ramirez says he has a hands-on approach to leadership, focused on expanding technology offerings where they add value for customers. “My goal is to continue enhancing B&L’s Odyssey ERP solution that delivers undisputable gains in efficiency and profitability for our clients. I look forward to building on our existing customer relationships and welcoming new customers to the B&L family,” he added.
As B&L Information Systems transitions under new leadership, the company remains steadfastly commitmed to its mission of developing transformative technology solutions that empower more than 500 foundry and die casting businesses around the world.
