This Friday the 10th Annual Peace Day Reunion Celebration at Benton Harbor High School. Berrien County Commissioner Rayonte Bell invited colleagues to the event this week.
“The event is basically centered around facilitating peach throughout the community,” Bell said. “We know Benton Harbor and other communities have been stricken with gun violence, and so this event is just to focus on creating peace.”
The event is focused on community and student-led commitments to building a better society. It’s sponsored by the SHARP Foundation, the Racial Equity Chamber, and Michigan We the People. Everything starts at 9:30 a.m. Bell said the event will close with the Taste of Benton Harbor, featuring locally made foods.
