“Open Door Perspectives” Launches with Assistance from the Women’s Business Center

The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance announced today that entrepreneur Timetta P. Wilson has opened Open Door Perspectives in Oronoko Charter Township.

Wilson has over 30 years of experience in education, ranging from homeschooling her own children, working as a principal for a school, and serving as a chaplain. She also has 3 master’s degrees; one of Educational Leadership and Administration, one of Science in Church Administration, and one of Divinity. Open Doors Perspectives is her way of combining all of these subjects and passions. Wilson was inspired by her mother, who was a school teacher, and who was always giving advice to her students on how they can improve their situations.

“Our mission at Open Door is to provide practical, professional, and pivotal coaching advice for all our clients,” said Wilson. “Our approach is strategic, faith-based, and holistic. The guidance that Margaret Adams of the Women’s Business Center has given me has been extremely helpful. She has guided me through the different stages in developing my business. I am always treated with respect and kindness.”

Open Door Perspectives will be providing a wide selection of services in the areas of professional development, motivational speaking, family life coaching, and teacher and student support. Wilson’s ultimate goal is to show people that they can make things work. She wants people to know that even if they are going through a crisis, they can come back from it. Her approach is to listen and observe first in order to evaluate your unique situation, before strategizing with you to come up with the best solution.

“Timetta began working with the WBC in December of 2018,” said Margaret Adams, Manager of the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance. “She stayed true to her commitment to open a business. She has worked on the business model for Open Door for quite some time and its great to see her accomplish her goal.”

An opening celebration will be held to officially launch Open Door Perspectives on Friday, August 2nd at 10am, at Cornerstone Alliance Headquarters, 80 W. Main Street in Benton Harbor.
