A new Ollie’s outlet has opened in Benton Township. The location is 1800 M-139 in the Scottsdale Plaza. Ollie’s is a bargain outlet with a slogan of “Get Good Stuff Cheap!” The Benton Township store was bustling Wednesday, its first day of operation. Ollie’s sells everything from home furnishings to food to hardware. It specializes in closeouts, excess inventory, and salvage merchandise, sometimes for up to 70% off the original price. The discount closeout retailer is based in Pennsylvania and has more than 400 stores. It’s named for its co-founder, Ollie Rosenberg, with cartoon artwork of him posted throughout the stores.
