Linda Marcon has known for a long time that Biggby Coffee was not only a perfect fit for her personally, but also for her beloved hometown of Paw Paw. Tomorrow morning she makes it official as she opens her own Biggby Coffee shop in Paw Paw.
It’s Linda’s first venture into the retail world, and the crew at Biggby headquarters in East Lansing is equally as giddy over the new shop as she is.
The newest member of the Biggby family takes flight tomorrow morning starting at 6am, Tuesday, August 22nd. The new shop is located at the corner of Kalamazoo and Berrien Streets just off of I-94 in Paw Paw.
Linda says she knew that Biggby Coffee would be not only a perfect fit for her as a business owner, but also for her much-loved hometown of Paw Paw. She says, “I love the drinks they share, the opportunity to give back to my community and share the happy and fun environment Biggby Coffee creates.” That’s her answer to what sparked her desire to franchise a Biggby venture.
Linda is an avid member of numerous community organizations, and says she can’t wait to tie them in with her new venture. Paw Paw High School & the surrounding districts, local food banks, and Girl Scouts of America are just a few of the many organizations Marcon hopes to work with in her new venture.
You can make Paw Paw’s grand opening a part of your morning tomorrow starting at 6 AM. You can stop by to see Linda and the rest of her crew as they serve up classics like the Caramel Marvel and Mocha Caramel hot, iced, or frozen. She says “whenever you need another dose of fun-filled deliciousness, you can see us throughout the week.” Her standard hours are Monday-through-Saturday from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sundays 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Founded in East Lansing, Biggby was started with a single store on March 15, 1995. One year later, and on the cusp of opening a second location, Michael McFall and Bob Fish, on a handshake and $4,000, decided to franchise the concept. The firm’s cultural values of Make Friends, Have Fun, B Yourself, Love People, and Share Great Coffee help coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike benefit from a less pretentious and fun approach to the standard gourmet cafe paradigm. Besides connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear and Caramel Marvel, Biggby baristas provide a unique experience focused on brightening their customer’s day. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today Biggby Coffee has 254 cafes open or under contract across nine states including: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Florida, and Texas.
