Christine Waterhouse continues to march forward with programming and branding of The Orchards Mall. The new Mall Manager has negotiated a new partnership with the team at Express Employment Professionals of St. Joseph to help administer weekly Kids Day functions every Wednesday this summer.
The first event under that new partnership arrives at mid-week this week in the form of Construction Function. In that event on Wednesday from 1 to 3pm, your little handy man or handy girl can play a series of construction games, have fun "building," and more. The Kids Day events administered by the partnership between the Mall and Express Pros is open to children of all ages each week through the balance of the summer.
Other events the two teams are partnering on include Princess Tea Parties, Teddy Bear Picnics, Arts & Crafts, and Story Time. Crew members from Express Employment Professionals will be onsite to help with each event, to provide snacks and also to answer any questions that parents might have about the employment agency's services. Those in search of employment can also fill out applications for any open position while the kids are having their fun.
Steve and Debra Murray are the owners of Express Employment Professionals. Having started the business in June of 2007, they are now enjoying their 8th year in the staffing industry. The Orchards Mall was built in 1979 and opened October 4th 1979. The mall is located on the site of a former apple orchard, giving it its name. The initial philosophy of management was to make The Orchards Mall a focal point for community activities, free weekend entertainment and scheduled events sponsored by local groups. Christine says they are excited to continue that legacy and invites everyone to join the summer events.
