There’s a new Nurse Practitioner specializing in several disciplines on board at the Southwestern Medical Clinic in Bridgman, and her name is Sherry Simpson.
Spectrum Health Lakeland has welcomed Simpson to the medical staff at the clinic located at 9625 Red Arrow Highway where she is now caring for adult and geriatric patients in Michigan’s Great Southwest.
Simpson earned her master’s degree in nursing from Andrews University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in nursing from Valparaiso University. She has more than two decades of clinical and educational experience and specializes in internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care. Prior to joining the practice, Simpson served as a Nurse Practitioner for PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) of Southwest Michigan, anchored in St. Joseph.
Simpson says, “Through my work with Lakeland Homecare and PACE over the last nearly 15 years, I have been able to provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care for older adults who may be experiencing complex diagnoses or chronic illness,” and adds, “I look forward to continuing this important work in the primary care setting and am pleased to be joining a diverse group of caregivers at Southwestern Medical Clinic.”
