The third week in October is National Women’s Small Business Week, and you are invited to celebrate women influencers and business owners at Front Street Pizza Pub in Niles, on Thursday, October 20th, 2022, during Third Thursdays: Women Excel, presented by Honor Credit Union.
A powerful partnership between Honor Credit Union and the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance brings this fantastic, open-to-the-public event, from 4:30 p.m – 6:30 p.m. This networking event is the last of three in this year’s series, with the previous events held in South Haven and Benton Harbor. This casual affair will help foster new relationships, and institute positive energy within the opportunity to network with women making a difference in business.
“Kristen Patzer, the Director at the Women’s Business Center, and I, wanted to host Third Thursday events around the area in communities where both Honor and the WBC have a footprint,” says Beth Anderson, Community Assistant Vice President for Benton Harbor/St. Joseph Honor Credit Union. “This year, we were in South Haven, Benton Harbor, and now Niles. I work directly with leadership at Cornerstone Alliance and the Women’s Business Center to find opportunities and provide resources for our business community and ambitious entrepreneurs to start, and grow, their businesses.”
Cindy Ray, owner of Front Street Pizza Pub in Niles, will be a featured speaker during this event, delving into the world of small business ownership for women, and how her business has become what it is today. Front Street Pizza Pub offers twenty taps, showcasing a selection of the best Michigan craft beers, and offers a delicious collection of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and pizzas: “We do pizza differently!”
“Third Thursdays provide the setting for business relationships and networking to thrive,” says Beth. “Honor Credit Union realizes we can help support small and medium-sized businesses in a very personal way, but small business owners and entrepreneurs sometimes need support outside the scope of what any credit union or bank can provide. Other local organizations can help in the areas where we cannot, and I believe building partnerships is one of the ways I can support our local small business community and play a role in its success. The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance is one of those great business resources in our community. Partnering with them makes so much sense for Honor.”
Tickets for the October 20th Third Thursdays: Women Excel, are $5 in advance (purchase online here), and $10 at the door (cash only). Appetizers will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. You will find Front Street Pizza Pub at 510 Front Street in Niles, and the small business community cannot wait to meet you!
