Rain or shine, the community is invited to “Let your light shine!” at the National Day of Prayer (NDP) in-person or virtual events, Thursday, May 5 from 12 pm to 1 pm. Meet in-person at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell, 500 Port Street, Saint Joseph, MI. Virtual events include a teleconference (dial 701-801-6523), and a Facebook Live event at “PRAY SW Michigan”. Events are free and open to the public.
Sheriff Paul Bailey will open the event with the Pledge of Allegiance and Carson and Emma, Trinity Lutheran School students, will set the pace with prayers of thanksgiving. A Berrien County NDP event has been held since 1985 and is designed to promote prayer for the nation and leaders.
“Let’s gather and pray for the Holy Spirit Revival in SW Michigan!” invited Pastor Ron Rayon of Grace Christian Center in Saint Joseph, adding “United public prayers always precede great, break-through revivals.”
First responders, small business owners, and ministers will insightfully lead prayer, including Jenna Ennesser, Pastor Andy Hannich, Mrs. Reshella Hawkins, Pastor Jay Haynes, Pastors Anthony and Brenda Hester, Pastor Ron Rayon, Kalpana Wasnik, Pastor Karen Weidler, and Reverend Allen Weiser, among others. Thanks to the 2022 NDP Sponsors who make this event possible: Capozio’s of Harbert, Conserva Irrigation, Dana Gray & Associates, Far Ahead Advertising Inc., MailMax, Grace Christian Center, Pastor Andy and Ingrid Hannich, Pastor Dan and Glenda Head, Chaplain Bruce and Susan Linscheid, Nate’s Dronography, PRAY SW Michigan, and Seeder & Co.
