Mosaic CCDA will have an official groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, May 4th at 10:30 a.m. for a new space for community partners to connect and provide resources to the public. The new hub will serve as The Transformation Center, and will be located directly beside the organization’s current headquarters at 1804 M-139 in Benton Harbor.
Earlier this year, Mosaic CCDA announced the official partnership with Pearson Construction to begin the Transformation Center and the vision of over a dozen community partners came to life. Notable partners include Whirlpool Foundation, Storyline Church, First Church, Honor Credit Union, United Way of Southwestern Michigan, the Upton Foundation, Berrien Community Foundation, Pearson Construction, and Tera Architects.
“Our goal in creating the Transformation Center is to create a single place the community can turn to for a wide variety of resources, that ultimately helps them overcome barriers,” Mosaic CCDA Director of Communications & Development, Ambie Bell. “Each community partner has committed to the mission and vision of what the Transformation Center will be and the impact it will have on Southwest Michigan. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this new facility to life and to the residents,” says Mosaic CCDA Executive Director, Gabrielle Engle.
“One of our most redeeming qualities as a community is the number of organizations that call Southwest Michigan home and carry the desire to help. That quality has never been more present than in what Mosaic and their partners have created with the Transformation Center,” says Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber President & CEO, Arthur Havlicek.
Resources offered in this space will include healthcare, access to fresh food, workforce development instruction, and an event center for additional group training or mid-size gatherings, featuring the most up-to-date technology and equipment.
